Today in class we went over rhetorical analysis. It was detailed information. I enjoyed it and it was productive. Must keep this one short to continue my heaps of work I have due recently.
Today in class we went over rhetorical analysis. We went into detail on how to find them in texts and derive their meanings as they're applied. Very interesting lesson and I would love if we went over this further. At the start of the class, we had a bellringer that asked for our current grade and how many days we have left. I could tell that there was going to be a lecture after that, and there was. I must say it was surprising to hear that such a large proportion of the class had grades below 70%. I thought I was poorly with my grades. Anyways, overall today was a great day!
In class today we discussed more into argumentative essays. We covered crisis rhetoric. Crisis Rhetoric can be defined by: Urgency, Crisis and Reality, Dramatic Characters, Policy vs. Morality, and Rhetorically Generative. We watched and analyzed speeches to see how the forms of rhetoric are used.
Today in class we discussed a prompt. The prompt we went over dealth with college and if it is worth the cost or not. Personally, I believe it is fdefinitely worth the cost. The riskl is entirely too high for those who wish to go into life without a college degree. That much is obvious however. I'm glad he touched on which degrees are pointless and not. It would be very pointless to spend 36k on a Liberal Arts degree if you're not even going to get a job afterwards. I plan on getting a degree in either finance or mathematics which I hope can get me a job right after I'm done with college.
