 This is a bit late but I needed to do a revision on the class. It is the end of the year and everything is finally over. We finished the AP Exam and did our best. Classes have been really good overall. Nothing bad I can say about them. Cannot think of anything I would change about how we were taught. Compared to the other AP Classes I took besides AP Statistics, I think the lessons were way better. There were very little assignments that had nothing to do with the AP Exam. Everything we did was in preparation for it. We practiced and learned how to do everything relating to the exam. And our teacher made sure we were prepared. We were put at a big disadvantage but we still were able to make it work out. The teacher was interesting. Never had one similar to him. It was somewhat of a perfect balance of strictness and kindness. Seems like he likes his job. Overall, I feel as though I learned a lot this year and I definitely improved my composition abilities, so again, no changes I would make on the class.

 Today in class we discussed a bellringer about whether education is boring or not. In my opinion, education isn't boring if you're looking at the bigger picture. But the work involved may be boring. There's also other factors. I actually enjoyed today's lesson a bit because he went over sources which helped. I was able to write a good claim and back it up with evidence from the provided texts. Overall a really good day.

Reflection 2/16/21

Today in class we started with an fun bell ringer. It took time to think about what exactly to write but, I was able to compose something meaningful. We then went over the poem ''We Real Cool".  The poem itself was rather short. It interests me to know that there are poems with not much length but heaps of meaning. This was a great exposure to a form of poetry I hardly knew existed. I am certainly glad to have read such a poem. My take on it is that because you will die one day it's important to live a fun life in your youth. We all grow up and such moments are brief in the grand scheme of things. I do appreciate the tone that the poem alludes. Overall, I really enjoyed today's lesson.

3/18/21

 Today in class we went over more synthesis essays. We looked at images and made claims about them. We learned that you can analyze images and make claims using the images alone or use the images as evidence. We also learned more about sources. To be honest, I am having a few issues with the recent prompts. They're pretty hard to understand without rereading them a lot. Of course I won't have time to do so during the exam. Hopefully he goes over them more or reexplains methods to comprehend the prompts.
